Galvanized Spiral Shank

Spiral nails were originally used to join timbers together but they also work equally well at fastening artificial turf. This 16D Spiral is 3.5" to 6” long. The spiral shape is excellent at gripping dirt and resisting pull out.

When driving the nail, the spiral shank allows the nail to pivot and rotate disturbing less of the compacted surface. Once driven in and the dirt settles the spiral shaft is firmly secured, making it more resistant to pull out of the turf than any other fastener.

Another benefit of using spiral nails is that they are less likely to cause dips or divots in your turf, as they do not require as much strength to install. They also come in easy to carry jobsite friendly handled buckets.

Deck / spiral shank nails are the largest shank size in proportion to the head diameter of any fastener available for turf installation. They are absolutely preferred in soft soils or in damp climates where the underlying base material remain damp or soft.
